An Evening with the Bayeux Tapestry
Thursday 15th October, 2026 – 7:00 for 7:30pm
All Hallows by the Tower, Byward St, London EC3R 5BJ 4AG
Join Sion College for a special evening at the historic All Hallows by the Tower, for a fascinating talk on the Bayeux Tapestry, followed by canapés and drinks.
The tapestry has recently come to London and is being presented in an extraordinary exhibition at the British Museum. We are delighted to welcome Dr David Musgrove to tell its remarkable story and explore what this extraordinary medieval work can reveal about the events surrounding the Norman Conquest.
Dr Musgrove is Content Director of HistoryExtra magazine, website and podcast. A medieval archaeologist by training, he is the author, with Professor Michael Lewis, of The Story of the Bayeux Tapestry: Unravelling the Norman Conquest.
Set within one of London’s most historic churches, this promises to be a memorable evening combining history, archaeology and the extraordinary story of one of the world’s most famous medieval treasures.
