Theology of the New Normal

A Sion College seminar with Anders Bergquist & Christina Maria Bammel - on Zoom

Wednesday 3rd February 2021: 7:00 for 7:30pm

There is no part of human life which Covid 19 has not impacted. But what has Theology to speak into the mix? Is there a Theology for the pandemic, or indeed a Theology of the ‘New Normal’?

Pfarrerin Dr Christina Maria Bammel is Pröpstin of Berlin-Brandenburg Landeskirche, a position somewhat akin to a Canon Theologian, responsible for the theological response of the Church as well as being chief examiner for standards of theological education for clergy and layworkers. An experienced parish minster in the city centre parish of Sophiengemeinde, a parish at the heart of the 1980’s democracy movement and the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Canon Anders Berquist is Vicar of St John’s Wood. One of the Church of England’s more eloquent theological voices, Anders has wide experience as a parish priest, Vice Principal of Westcott House and Canon Residentiary and Ministry Development Officer of St Albans.
