What have equality of opportunity and “levelling up” to do with Financial Services?
A Sion College Seminar Supper with Catherine McGuinness
Monday 28th February 2022, 7 for 7.30pm
The Caledonian Club, 9 Halkin St, London SW1X 7DR
Financial services are one of the most successful sectors of the UK economy. The value of the sector is obvious in purely financial terms, but how can financial services contribute further to the advancement of opportunities and wellbeing for society as a whole?
Catherine McGuinness has been chair of policy at the City of London Corporation since 2017. She is also chair of the independent task force commissioned by HM Treasury and the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy on socio-economic diversity.
In this seminar supper Catherine McGuinness will outline the Corporation’s work in this area and also the efforts being made through the Taskforce to improve socio-economic diversity at senior levels in the financial services sector.
