The Business of Trust
Wednesday 25th September, 2019 – 7 for 7:30pm
Aquavit, St James’s Market, 1 Carlton St, London SW1Y 4QQ
Sir Charles Bowman is a senior partner at PwC. For many years he has campaigned on the theme of trust in business, a subject which has been high on the public agenda since the financial crisis of the late 2000s and the reputational damage which the crash caused to the financial institutions. As Lord Mayor of London in 2017-18, he travelled the world to promote the UK’s financial and professional services sector and interviewed leading figures across society to gain their perspectives on the state of public trust in business.
In this talk, in the month before the UK’s expected exit from the EU, he gives his assessment of the state of play and his message for the future in this important area.
Our venue for this seminar supper is the Michelin-starred Aquavit in St James’s, which specialises in contemporary Nordic cuisine under the leadership of Head Chef Jorge Colazo. The restaurant also showcases elements of the Nordic design tradition, in silverware, décor and uniforms.
