Visit: A morning trip in a classic London bus (owned and driven by a Sion College member) to Fuller’s brewery, Chiswick, with a tour of the brewery and lunch
The Sion College party will travel from central London on a classic London double decker bus (an AEC Regent III, dating from 1952), owned and driven since 1973 by a Sion College member. The Revd Simon Douglas Lane has been a member of the London Bus Preservation Trust for 45 years and holds a full bus driver’s licence. Those wishing to go directly to the Brewery by another route should indicate this on the application form.
Lunch will be at the Mawson Arms, the pub located on the brewery site. Return to central London is available by a direct (public) bus to Hammersmith tube or (if there is sufficient demand) with Simon’s bus (departure around 2:30-3pm). Alternatively, it would be possible to visit nearby Chiswick House or Hogarth House in the afternoon.
