George Herbert and the Journey of the Soul: A Sion College Seminar Supper with Mark Oakley

Tuesday 28th January, 2020 - 7 for 7:30pm: The Savile Club, 69 Brook Street, Mayfair, London W1K 4ER

Herbert’s influence is still widely felt & this seminar supper at the Savile Club will give us the opportunity both to hear from and to ask questions of Canon Mark Oakley, Dean of St John's College Cambridge and latterly a distinguished Canon Chancellor of St Paul's Cathedral, where his contribution was characterised by an imaginative and prophetic flair. Oakley is a poet, author, priest, intellectual & spiritual teacher whose latest book, on George Herbert, is being published as a Lent book for 2020. Those attending this event are invited to order copies of Mark’s book My Sour-Sweet Days George Herbert and the Journey of the Soul at a reduced price of £6.50 (RRP £9.99).
