Seminar Supper: Adult Social Care
Speaker: Lord Warner
The current inadequacies in adult social care provision are well known to members of Sion College. It is an issue of overwhelming importance not least because the number of over 65 year olds is forecast to increase by more than 40% over the next 20 years.
Lord Warner sits in the House of Lords, formerly on the Labour benches but now as an Independent. After a varied career in the Civil Service, he was Director of Social Services for Kent County Council and has held many positions in and around Government.
The Supper will be held at 1 Great College Street in Westminster: a historic Grade 2 listed building designed by James Miller with great emphasis on light and space and opened in 1913.
