Who Can Free China? A Sion College Seminar Supper with Roger Garside

Roger Garside’s career has included diplomacy, development banking and capital markets development. He has worked on the frontline of political and economic change in China, the former Soviet Empire and Emerging Markets. As a British diplomat, he served in Beijing during the Cultural Revolution, and again from 1976-9, when Mao died, and Deng launched the Reform Era. He then wrote Coming Alive: China After Mao.
