Sex, Establishment and the Church of England: A Seminar Supper with Mark Chapman
Few issues in the life of the church have drawn such sharp lines between the established church and the wider secular culture.
Following the process of Living in Love and Faith and the prayers of blessing being taken to Synod in 2023, this event examines the future of the established status of a church that seems so at odds with the secular culture it serves. With campaign groups for either ’side’ of the debate and the involvement of sitting MPs making motions in parliament, Professor Chapman examines the interplay of faith and politics in this unique situation.
