Sion College Lecture series on Ecclesiology: Rowan Williams - Recovering a Vision of the Church
Present debates and divisions within the Church of England point to a crisis in ecclesiology. What does it mean to be “in communion” in a church with deepening fault lines which make not just communion, but also communication and understanding, increasingly difficult? Can we reframe the parameters of the conversation to recover a vision of what the church is, and therefore of how we can live together?
The lecture will be followed by drinks and canapés.
The Sion College Lecture Series on Ecclesiology will be published as a contribution to the wider debate. Booklets will be available by mail order from St Matthew’s Westminster.
