The Rt Revd Peter Selby - What are Bishops For?
Our speaker, Peter Selby, has served as an Area Bishop, as a Diocesan Bishop, and as an Assistant Bishop in four different dioceses. As a ‘serving’ bishop he was also Bishop to HM Prisons, a Church Commissioner and a member of the House of Bishops Theological Group and of the Doctrine Commission. He is not a stranger to controversy. His talk will include words like ‘projection’, ‘authority’, ‘power’, ‘collegiality’, to mention but a few in what is meant to be a stimulus to debate during this seminar supper and to further conversation afterwards.
