Thursday 7th July, 2022: 2pm
Kew Gardens, The Victoria Gate, London TW9 3JR
The Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, more colloquially known as Kew Gardens, are both a UNESCO World Heritage Site & a former Royal Estate.
It was given to the Nation in 1840 and by the start of the twentieth century the site had expanded to its current size of 300 acres. We shall have an opportunity to explore some of this during our visit and to see, too, some of the historic buildings such as the Orangery built in 1761, the Great Pagoda which was completed in the following year and the more recent Princess of Wales Centre which was completed in 1987.
At 4pm we will adjourn to "The Original Maids of Honour," a delightful retreat for a substantial tea accompanied, in true Sion style, by Prosecco for any who would like it.
If you have not yet registered for online payment you will be asked to do this and your registration will need to be validated by the Administrator before you can use the facility. Please note

If you are offered a place but are unable to attend for any reason, please let the office know so that your place may be offered to another. In the event of failure to attend without notice after being reserved a place, the Court will require a refund of the subsidy.
