Has the Church of England given up on Theology?
Wednesday 23rd November 2022, 7:00 for 7:30 pm
The Oxford & Cambridge Club, 71-77 Pall Mall, St. James's, London SW1Y 5HD
Theological Education in the Church of England is a subject about which almost everyone feels passionately. In recent years a variety of models have been developed in response to the perceived needs of our age and each one is considered by their advocates as the gold standard-the model which will prepare future clergy for the challenges and opportunities of ministry over the next half century.
There can be few people who can speak on this topic as effectively as The Rev'd Dr Michael Lloyd & his insights into current thinking about theology in the Church of England will be fascinating. He has served in three parishes, taught at St Mellitus College and St Stephen's House and is currently Principal of Wycliffe Hall.
